We (Paul and Daan van Adrichem) are Father and Son. We like the older cars much more than the so-called traffic jam units. For us a car with a history, a story has much more appeal. That is why we acquired this 1964 Peugeot 404 back in 1996. Paul had every bolt, every nut is his hands at least twice: once to take it apart, and another time to put it back together again. But ever since the engine runs like a charm again, and the dash is back to new, my hands have been restless.

In the meantime Daan got his drivers license and naturally Daan is in quest of a "of wheels". As cautious parents we would much rather that Daan keeps using a bicycle. The second best option is to at least have Daan to use a safe car. One that would not make him get the one speeding ticket after other. The MGA seems to be an excellent choice: it will be sitting on the driveway with the bonnet popped for the next couple of years: No seatbelt tickets, parking tickets or red-light violations. By the way, Daan is keeps using the bicycle: Netherlands; Bicycles...

So together we decided to settle for this MGA Coupe we found in down-town San Francisco and through this site we want to share this story with you, honoured reader. Carla and Julia were not very enthusiastic at first. But once they saw the car, they understood. Julia is going to decide the colours. Carla has always played a crucial role in the previous restore: support, and she will take up this role once again. Together we make a good team.
